As we prepare for the beginning of '22 season and before we lock in our season win total wagers for the season, let's look back to the '21 season's best/worst teams in terms of out/under performing Vegas' expectations. Notably, and with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, the largest out performer (MSU) & under performer (Indiana) were both victims to their performance in the shortened 2020 COVID season. MSU came off an uninspiring '20 season with an unknown QB, a coaching staff still needing to prove themselves and relying heavily on transfers @ key positions. On the other hand, Indiana was riding high off their best season a long time, brought back a QB that had performed well and had some leaders at key spots.
As always, past performance is not indicative of future results.
Be careful in your extrapolation from '21 when looking at '22 Win Totals.
